Ranch Event Center, owned by AOne Weddings & Events. “We really scored with Riata Ranch! The space is HUGE!” Kelsey says. “The clubhouse allowed us to have a really convenient rehearsal and dinner. Carol (Thomas, of AOne Weddings & Events) was wonderful about getting back to us about things in a timely manner. She was always willing to let us come out and look around the venue if we wanted to see it again. The price we paid was very fair and she gave us extra time to set up. It was also nice that she gave us the day after the wedding to come in and clean.” Kelsey’s other piece of advice is to not sweat the small stuff. “Seriously, don’t!” Kelsey adds. “Nothing will ever go exactly how you want it to, and that’s okay. We got rained out halfway through our outdoor wedding ceremony. I’m talking downpour-type rain. We had to run inside and fin- ish our ceremony in front of our head table! But at the end of the day, Josh and I are still married, so in our eyes, it was an absolute success.” Kelsey and Josh’s entire wedding day was special, they say, despite the downpour mid ceremony. “Every single moment 16 Wyoming Weddings during our wedding day holds its own significant place in my heart,” Kelsey says. “Even the rain made it a day to remember. Josh and I could have whined and pouted and been upset because we spent so much effort to make our altar for our outdoor reception, and the rain pushed us inside. But heck, we were there to get married and that is all we cared about.” They appreciated Liz Osban’s flexibility in capturing their wedding despite the sudden change in plans and were very pleased with the results. “It turned out kind of neat actually,” Kelsey explains. “When we looked through our pictures it was almost like we got to experience it all twice, because we have pictures outside for our ceremony and inside for our ceremony.” Kelsey and Josh found ways to DIY some of the wed- ding elements and keep their costs down. “Most of our decorations were borrowed from other people, or we made them ourselves,” Kelsey says. “Plus you can’t go wrong when Hobby Lobby has silk flowers and wedding items 50% off every other week.” Their reception food was pre- pared themselves with the help of family and friends, and
