They chose a “ hand washing unity ceremony ,” utilizing a pitcher and basin handmade by Micaela ’ s great aunt , set upon a tablecloth belonging to Micaela ’ s great-grandmother . They added white lavender to the water , adding a special touch while their pastor read their unity ceremony and Ephesians 4:31-32 while pouring the water over their hands . “ The pictures from that part of the ceremony are some of my favorite ,” Micaela adds . In addition to the milk glass vases sent home with guests , she gave her bridesmaids milk glass to take home which stored their bouquets . Micaela ’ s bouquet was stored in milk glass belonging to her grandmother .
The couple are residing in Mississippi , where Micaela says they ’ re “… taking things as they come .” They plan to return to Wyoming at some point in the future . In December 2021 they ’ re taking their honeymoon to Gatlinburg , Tennessee , a trip they ’ re excited about !
Micaela ’ s tip : Most likely not everything will go right , and that ’ s okay . Sometimes the things that don ’ t go quite right make the best memories !
