A
hometown wedding with delicate details was
the scene for Jamie and Wade’s Jay Em, Wyoming wedding held on June 28, 2014. “I really
wanted to get married in the church in Jay Em, where
my parents were married,” Jamie says. “But we knew
that with the size of our guest list that would be impossible (the church is very small). Instead, I opted to do
an outside wedding at the base of the church in the Jay
Em park.”
After the wedding, the wedding party, parents and
other guests were transported to the family ranch,
three miles west of Jay Em, on a flatbed trailer hay
ride driven by Jamie’s grandparents. There, under a big
tent, over 500 guests (comprised of family and friends),
gathered to enjoy BBQ pork sandwiches made by a
family friend, kegs and homemade sangria by Jamie’s
aunt. The sounds of Southern Fryed, a band from
Cheyenne that were “slipped extra money to keep playing” by Wade’s uncle kept the party dancing through
the night under the big Wyoming sky.
