FUN FACTS
The ambulance was used to carry injured soldiers to dressing stations. The people who drove the ambulances gave them nicknames. The ambulances were over 7’ tall 15’ long 5’ wide. Ford and other popular truck brands provided most of the ambulances. The ambulance that is in the WWI museum was donated by the son of an ambulance driver. The ambulances were sent out with two drivers each. The ambulances helped save many lives.
