responds “It’s ok, Emma. I’m going to join josh.” A bomb explodes in the building. “No!” I yell. The scream that comes next, I don’t recognize. Florence, and only her headset to remember her. Then I am hit by a bullet in the calf and black out. I wake up in the hospital. “We found you holding this, says the nurse.” It’s Florence’s headset! It survived! She also hands me the obituary page in the paper. “Hello Girls Massacre” It reads. “Dead: Mary Fox, Margaret Brooks, Alison Schubert, Clara Sanders, Anna Butler, Elizabeth  Thompson, Bertha Roberts, Mimi King, Ethel Murray, Florence Walker. Saved: Emma James.” I am the only one alive! I will honor their memory with their headsets, Later in life, I founded the Hello Museum, and had kids with Ronnie Nguyen. I took care of the kids with one leg when Ronnie dies. I keep Florence’s headset and I pass it down to my kids when I die, and so it passes down 10 generations. It finds its way into the Smithsonian, so she will be honored for all eternity.
