National Learning Network

National learning Network provides QQI certified training funded by WWETB and the HSE for people out of work through accident, illness, or disability. Courses available at the Wexford Centre include; Employer Based Training, Retail Skills Training, Office Administration, and Rehabilitative Training.

National Learning Network employs a multidisciplinary student support team which includes highly qualified & experienced instructors, resource teachers, advocacy officers and psychologists. This team provide personalised education and training courses to individuals with unique and particular needs including; intellectual disability, mental health needs, physical and sensory disabilities, health conditions and illness, recovery from accident and injury, along with people on the autism spectrum.

The focus is on supporting each student to achieve their maximum potential in further or higher education, training and in accessing employment.

Carmel Harrington Irish Times Bestselling Author whose recent books include “The Woman at 72 Derry Lane” and “Cold Feet, The Lost Years” recently paid a visit to the centre in Wexford where she gave an inspirational speech on how after many years of dreaming about becoming a writer she now has 6 books published. Carmel took time out of her busy schedule to speak to some of the students who are attending creative writing workshops with resource tutor Jackie Neary, with some of the students getting the chance to showcase their writing to Carmel who was very impressed with the quality of work.
