Creagh College, Gorey

Another milestone in the development of Creagh College has been reached with the issuing of the college’s first set of Leaving Cert results. The class of 2016/17 have had a unique second level education, having always been the oldest students in their secondary school; they have been the school’s first cohort of students, the school’s first Junior Cert exam students, the school’s first TY students and now the school’s first Leaving Cert class. They have attended school in not one but two new modern buildings during that time. “We are delighted with their results and wish them every success in their future endeavours. This particular group of students will always hold a special place in our hearts here at Creagh College,” said Paul Glynn, Creagh College’s Principal on Wednesday as results were handed out.

The college continues to grow rapidly, and this year there will be nearly 700 students attending, which represents a growth of over 1200% in a six-year period. The new college offers a wide range of programmes and subjects including the new Junior Cycle, the Established Leaving Cert, Transition Year, LCAP and from this September, LCVP. Enrolments for September 2018 will begin in October with the college’s Open Evening scheduled for October 12th.
