Pendleton County Farm Bureau Honors Carl Hevener

Carl Hevener, of Deer Run, received the 2012 Pendleton County Farm Bureau Service Award at the PCFB Annual Meeting in October.
Hevener, son of Roy Hevener and the late Theda Skiles Hevener, resides on the family farm in Pendleton County where he raises cattle and sheep. Described as someone who is“ always willing to help”, Hevener is active in a number of organizations. Aside from serving Pendleton County Farm Bureau as a director, he is president of the Pendleton County Commission. He also serves on the Pendleton County Predation Board; the WVU Extension Service Committee; is president of the Pendleton County Calf Pool and serves on or supports numerous other boards, organizations and events such as the Tri-County Fair and 4-H. On top of all that, Carl is a salesperson at Petersburg Southern States where his knowledge helps local farmers get what they need to get the job done.
