Young Farmer and Rancher Update Susan Wilkins, YF&R Chairperson Another West Virginia Farm Bureau Annual Meeting has come and gone. The Annual Meeting is always a fun time for the Young Farmer Committee and this year was no exception. I am extremely honored to have been elected Chair of our committee; Suzanne Wilson is our Vice Chair; and Nicole Sattler is our Secretary. families in need. It is hard to believe that Christmas is here once again! The Young Farmer Committee hosted a Discussion Meet on Friday night of the Annual Meeting and we are thrilled that we will have two contestants for upcoming national competitions. Kacey Orr will represent our state at the AFBF Discussion Meet in San Antonio and Amber Huiet will represent us in the Collegiate Discussion Meet in Virginia Beach. Christmas is such a wonderful example of the dedication and commitment that farmers have for their way of life. Even on this most special and holy of holidays, farmers can be found caring for their livestock. Since I was a little girl, my family has always ripped open the presents on Christmas morning and then bundled up and headed outdoors to feed the animals. Before my family sits down to our Christmas feast, our livestock enjoys theirs. The Committee sincerely thanks all those who provided items or placed a bid in the auctions, bought a raffle ticket for the quilt and gun drawing, or donated a can of food for our food drive. It is our hope that our contributions to the Feeding America food pantry will help make the coming holidays a little brighter for “I keep a jar of Steuart’s Pain Formula by my bed and reach for it at night when my knee pain flares up. I love the trees, the lights, the present wrapping, and I especially love the Christmas cookies. Every year when the first of October rolls around, I eagerly wait for choir practice to start for the annual Christmas Eve Cantata. I don’t understand folks who wait until the day before Christmas to get a tree. As soon as Thanksgiving is over, the tree goes up, in my opinion! Betty Brooks, Buhl, Idaho, read about Steuart’s in a farm magazine reported. “I put the Pain Formula on my knees about 10 AM this morning, and it’s now 9 PM and I’m still pain free. I’ve had knee surgery-and tried just about every product on the market-this works-I’ve had a very good day! I could feel it working as soon as I put it on.” Warren Ward of Pemberton, Minn., says his knees ached so terrible at night that he couldn’t get to sleep without taking painkillers. “An orthopedic surgeon told me both my knees were shot, I had bone rubbing on bone, and I needed knee-replacement surgery. Then someone told me about Steuart’s Pain Formula.
