bytes Summer Ag Institute Registration Now Open Natural Gas Education Conference Teaches Public About Industry Registration is now open for the 2015 Summer Agriculture Institute for Educators. The two-day event will be held June 23rd and 24th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Morgantown. WVU Extension is offering another in a series of programs designed to educate the public about the oil and gas industry. Graduate and professional credits are available to those interested, but are not required to attend. All content for 2015 is new, so if you have attended before to earn credits, you can do so again! The seminar will be held May 20th from 8:30 am to 5 pm at the Bridgeport Conference Center. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required and space is limited. The final agenda has not yet been set, but tentative plans call for a series of tours on the first day, followed by workshops on a variety of topics teachers can use in their classrooms. Topics covered during the program will include: Natural Gas Outlook for WV; Lessons Learned from the Bakken; Above Ground Storage Tank Regulations; Mineral Management - Understanding Royalty Payments; Conservation Easements and Natural Gas Exploration; Underground Injection Control Program and more.
