Our customers responded to our efforts , leading to a year of record sales . That , in turn , helped us to continue our mission of enriching lives as we donated to important causes and supported organizations that were doing good in the communities where we do business .
LHM MEGAPLEX THEATRES Megaplex , like many theatre chains around the country , was forced to shut down in the earliest days of the pandemic . Luckily , unlike many of those chains , Megaplex was able to come back after only a few months , thanks to hard work and innovative strategies to keep things clean and safe for customers .
From March 2020 , when entertainment venues were closed down , until July , when they were able to open up again , Megaplex was able to stay in business by offering curbside delivery for their famous popcorn and other movie treats . They also hosted online movie-watching parties and kept in contact with their customers .
After opening up , they used their seat reservation system to ensure that moviegoers were socially distanced and wearing masks when not eating . The system worked , and with other innovations , including digital ticketing and limited-time free tickets for loyal customers , Megaplex customers continued to enjoy movies even while other entertainment venues were closed .
Since there were fewer Hollywood releases in 2020 , Megaplex began showing classic movies . At one point , Megaplex Theatres was No . 1 at the box office for 1993 ’ s “ Jurassic Park ,” showing that success can be found even in difficult times , with creative thinking and a commitment to taking care of the customer no matter what .
