for details of how we might partner on
something like this for one of my new
releases. I’m planning to update my little
booklet, Great Little Last-Minute Editing
Tips which is intended as a grammar/
style guide but may easily and
thoughtfully be used as an inexpensive
thank-you greeting card or gifts for
writers. I use the e-book as a little bonus
when writers sign up for my newsletter.

A big thank you to Carolyn Howard-Johnson for continuously offering great advice to
writers at any stage of their careers. With the publishing market constantly changing, it is
important to stay on top of the most recent trends. For example, only a few years back e-
books and Kindle were not considered “real books.” Now they account for a large portion of
overall book sales.
Carolyn Howard-Johnson brings her experience as a publicist, journalist, marketer, and retailer to the
advice she gives in her HowToDoItFrugally series of books for writers and the many classes she taught for nearly
a decade as instructor for UCLA Extension’s world-renown Writers’ Program. All her books for writers are multi
award winners including both the first and second editions of The Frugal Book Promoter and her multi award-
winning The Frugal Editor won awards from USA Book News, Readers’ Views Literary Award, the marketing
