Here it is the middle of July and it seems like we just celebrated New Years Day. And, I say the long, hot summer because it seems like we have had more heat earlier in the year in 2015. At first I thought it was because I lived Cont’dVegas page… always have hot summers. Hey, we’re desert in Las next and we rats, right? That is as long as we have our refrigerated air conditioning. LISTEN TO AUDIO SAMPLE BUY BUY But then my sister Phyllice Bradner, also my co-author for the Silver Sisters Mysteries, posted a photo on Facebook of her poor heat-stressed cat Coco, lying on its back in front of a fan as temperatures continued to rise in Oregon. BUY BUY And, my son in New Jersey told me it was just too hot and humid to ride his beloved Harley. What’s a person to do? Well, I headed to Los Angeles, with dreams of escaping our 114 degree heat. Guess what? When it’s hot, it’s hot. From June 26-28 I was giving a workshop and participating on three panels at the Greater Los Angeles Writers Society Conference in Van Nuys CA at Los Angeles Valley College presented by West Coast Writers Conferences. BUY The San Fernando Valley is definitely hotter than Marina Del Rey, where I lived when I was an “Angeleno.” Temps were over 100 in the Valley. Where was this relief I’d dreamed about?
