Morgan’s Corner (Cont’d)
The official release date for the paperback, Kindle and other eBook
formats is December 10. Cheryl will be featured in the opening episode of a
new series on Discovery ID channel, I Witness, so watch your TV listings. Rob
will be in the closing episode of the series. We understand that there will
also be an article in a major magazine in the beginning of 2017. This is a true
story of one woman’s fight to transition from an incest and abuse victim at
the hands of her father to a strong woman who inspires others. It is a unique
love story, too, that you won’t want to miss.
The episode I co-narrated for the A Crime to Remember for the Discovery ID channel will also be
airing in 2017, but I’m not sure of the date. It is about the case of convicted murderer Paul Perveler,
and I will post the info as soon as I know it.
I am on the board of Writers of Southern Nevada, and we have a very exciting agenda of events for
2017. We had a planning session last week, and some of the events will be of interest to writers outside
of the Las Vegas area. For one, there will be a Writers Retreat in historic Boulder City, Nevada—details
will be listed in an upcoming issue. Painted Stories VII was presented on October 29 at Clark County
Library in Las Vegas, and as always, it was a full house with great readers and artists painting their
impression of the stories.
Our “associate editor,” Dylan the Dog, has had a challenging two months, but I am happy to say he
is recovered. In August he had major surgery because of a torn cruciate ligament in his rear left leg and
they inserted a plate and implant. Then he cut his tongue on rough edges in the crate he had to stay in
during his recuperation and lost so much blood he needed a transfusion. He is back in his spot under
my desk now, providing inspiration and “critique.” Many of you followed him on Facebook with healing
wishes. Thank you.
Keep writing!
