WA MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Vanessa Couchman
Vanessa Couchman’ s career has always involved writing in some form, but she started writing fiction after a long gap when she joined Writers Abroad in 2010. She already wrote a blog about life in France, Life on La Lune. Initially, Vanessa wrote short stories and flash fiction and has had successes in creative writing competitions. A collection of her short stories set in France, French Collection, will be published in November 2017. She turned her hand to writing novels after a few years. The House at Zaronza was published in 2014. A second novel, The Widow of Corsica, is now complete. She is working on a World War II sequel to The House at Zaronza, and many other ideas jostle for position in her head. Vanessa has lived in Southwest France with her Swedish husband for 20 years and has a love-hate relationship with the internet.
