WRITERS ABROAD MAGAZINE: THE THIRD SPACE
THE BRINK
BY CHRIS NEDAHL
Motionless
on the low outcrop,
at odds with the ocean
waves crashing
so close.
A phone
lifeless in palm,
at odds with the sea
teeming energy.
Will it ring
hinder inevitability
or child, young lover,
less hapless person
lift it from sodden sand
and wonder?
