Jacqueline Dimier joined Audemars Piguet in 1975
as a young artist and immediately made significant
contributions to the company, including the design
of the first Royal Oak for women in 1976. In 1977,
she provided the cutting edge design for reference
5548, which both influenced and anticipated the
overall aesthetics of wristwatches that emerged
in the 1980s. The stepped bezel makes reference
