TORQUE WRENCHES TORQUE MULTIPLIERS

TORQUE WRENCHES & TOOLS

•• Users and bystanders must wear safety goggles.
••
To avoid possible eye injury from flying objects, safety goggles or equivalent protection conforming to ANSI Z87.1 shall be worn and kept clean by the user and all persons in the immediate area where any tool is being used.
••
Comfort or plastic grips on handles are not intended to give any degree of protection against electric shock and shall not be used on or near live electric circuits.
••
Torque wrenches are a precision instrument. Read the instruction manual completely before using any torque wrench and learn the proper method to operate, maintain and store torque wrenches.
••
Torque wrenches are to be used to tighten fasteners only. Do not use torque wrenches to loosen or remove fasteners.
••
Users shall apply a controlled force with a stance adjusted and braced to prevent rapid bodily movement or a fall if sudden release occurs.
•• Always pull, do not push to apply torque.
••
Do not use torque wrenches with sockets or fasteners showing wear or cracks.
••
Keep torque wrenches clean. The ratchet mechanism may slip or break if dirty, mismatched or worn parts are used.
•• Make sure the direction lever is fully engaged.
••
Take care to never overload a torque wrench past its maximum torque capacity.
••
Torque wrenches are to be used by hand only. Do not use cheater bars or any other means of increasing leverage.
••
Use the appropriate drive size. Select the torque wrench drive that is in the mid-range of the desired torque.
••
Never expose any torque wrench to excessive heat, which may change the hardness or microstructure and ruin the tool.
•• Never use torque wrenches for prying or as a hammer.
••
Send torque wrenches to a qualified lab for calibration at least once a year or every 5,000 cycles, whichever comes first.
•• Inspect and discard bent, worn or damaged torque wrenches
•• Users and bystanders must wear safety goggles.
••
To avoid possible eye injury from flying objects, safety goggles or equivalent protection conforming to ANSI Z87.1 shall be worn and kept clean by the user and all persons in the immediate area where any tool is being used.
••
A torque multiplier generates an output torque much greater than the input torque. Do not use a torque multiplier without reading and learning the safety and operating instructions that are provided with each torque multiplier.
••
Users must wear hard hats, gloves and steel toed boots.

TORQUE WRENCHES SAFETY

••
Users shall apply a controlled force with a stance adjusted and braced to prevent rapid bodily movement or a fall if sudden release occurs.
••
Only use impact sockets with torque multipliers and secure to the output square with a retaining pin & O-ring. Never use hand sockets or any attachments( including adaptors) with torque multipliers.
••
Before each use, inspect and replace any torque multiplier output squares showing signs of wear or cracks.
••
Before each use, inspect and tighten the torque multiplier holding screws.
••
Before each use, inspect and replace any impact sockets or fasteners showing signs of wear or cracks.
•• Do not use impact guns with torque multipliers.
•• Do not use breaker bars with torque multipliers.
