The USEPA is currently revising the drinking water regulations for microbials and disinfection byproducts ( M / DBPs ). As part of this effort , the USEPA has hosted monthly stakeholder meetings to discuss the various perspectives for potential revisions , including developing a minimum numeric disinfectant residual and revising standards for DBPs . This session will provide an overview of the regulatory process and revisions being considered . A summary of data analysis relating to disinfectant residuals and DBP occurrence will be presented during this session .
