Tall office and condo towers with faux cupolas atop pitched-tile roofs are part of the beautiful view you get from a distance of West Palm Beach waterfront. Facing legions of celebrities and heirs to old and new money, West Palm Beach skyline is topped mainly by palm trees and flagpoles. The city is quickly becoming a destination in its own right and new real estate developments are in plan. Recently, the Spain-based design firm Ecosistema Urbano won a competition to redesign the waterfront area of West Palm Beach along Lake Worth Lagoon that will incorporate installing themed domes along the waterfront that would provide comfortable public spaces even on humid and rainy days.
