That’s my dude. I love Tim because he’s very
pliable. Anytime we get into the waters where
things are a little funky or a little R&B Tim
respects me enough to ask me, “What should
I do?” or, “How does this sound?” Or, “What
do I think?” because that’s my world. And vice
versa, I allow him to speak into what I’m doing
when we do rock stuff because Rock was not
my forte. Just like Funk and R&B wasn’t his
forte, so we lean into each other. After all these
years, Tim knows where to go find the stuff and
where to go get it, I’ve told him about all of the
groups, if he needs to come up with something
he knows where to look (laughs).
