My Salvation is an eight-song live worship album from the newcomer Canaan Baca, who serves as the Lead Worship Pastor at New Life Church in Renton, WA.
Baca was raised as a pastor’ s kid in California’ s Central Valley where he began leading worship in children’ s ministry at only 12 years old. He has also helped found One Voice Worship INT and has increasingly written songs not only for his own congregation but for the broader Church.
That local-church foundation is noticeable throughout Baca’ s first full length release. The album doesn’ t rely heavily on abstract imagery or overly complicated songwriting. Instead, Baca consistently returns to foundational Christian themes: salvation through Christ, the resurrection, God’ s provision, surrender, the work of the Holy Spirit, and becoming more like Jesus.
The title track,“ My Salvation,” is one of the strongest examples. It’ s an energetic declaration of the Gospel built around confession of Jesus as Lord, Christ’ s death and resurrection, freedom from condemnation, and new life in Him finding it’ s scriptural foundation in Romans 10:9 – 10, Romans 8:1 – 2 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 – 21.
“ More Like Jesus” may be the album’ s most immediately useful congregational song. Originally associated with Baca’ s work with One Voice Worship INT, the song is essentially a prayer for transformation and Christlikeness. It’ s simple, accessible and centered on something congregations can genuinely pray together rather than merely sing about.
Another highlight is“ The Lord Will Provide.” Its focus on God’ s faithfulness and provision gives it obvious usefulness when preaching about trust, anxiety, God’ s care, or dependence upon Him.
Overall, My Salvation is a strong debut worship project because it seems to understand its purpose. Baca isn’ t simply making Christian music; he is writing as a worship pastor for people who actually have to sing these songs together. The melodies and arrangements are contemporary, but the theological center remains recognizable and Christ-focused.

Her signature vocal tone finds its place all over some of the biggest Elevation hits from the past few years including songs like“ More Than Able”,“ Might Get Loud” and“ Jesus Be The Name”. She is no stranger to worship writing and leading at a high level.
Enter When You’ re In The Room which is Hudson’ s first full-length live worship album featuring ten newly penned songs that were recorded during Elevation Church’ s Presence Nights earlier this year.
