Fishman has certainly made a name for themselves in the acoustic world with artist played acoustic pickups, acoustic amplifiers and pedals that are popular with Praise musicians. The company has now decided to enter the world of wireless with their new Fishman AirLock GT system. Worship Musician received our demo of the system after the first production run sold out.
The Fishman AirLock Wireless GT system arrived in a brand molded EVA case, and included a receiver and transmitter, charging cables, data cable and an adapter to USB-C. Before charging up the devices the biggest surprise was how small the device packs are. The AirLock transmitter is the smallest device measuring 3” long 1.5” across and 3 / 8” thick and it has TX on the back to differentiate it. The Receiver 3 ¼” long, 1.5” across and 3 / 8” thick with RX embossed on its back panels. Both devices feature a fully articulating ¼” plug so that they can fit into virtually any instrument and amplifier. After I charged up the AirLock GT, with the included cable, they paired up quickly.
