The Gain control is part of the secret sauce as you can use this to drive the front end of your amp or model thereof into blissful submission to get even more gain and sag . The Bias control increases the amount of voltage delivered to the matched pair of transistors . Lower settings deliver more of the spitting sounds that some fuzz players live for . At the upper end you get into that sweet soaring fuzz I love most . Setting all the controls at 3:00 is a good starting place . Also worth mentioning
is the internal trim pot that enables you to fine tune this pedal per the unique impedance of your instrument / s .
