Top mount controls on the CUBE Street II are simple to dial in the sound you want for your instrument ( or instruments ) and microphone . For what I would designate the vocal channel on the amp Boss provides a three band EQ , Reverb , Harmony ( choose Unison , High or Higher ), independent volume level , key generator for harmony , mic or instrument selector and a shared tuner .
The instrument / guitar channel features three band EQ , Chorus / Delay , Reverb , Looper , Aux in level , gain , volume and an Amp Type selector . The Looper section ( providing 45 seconds of loop ) has record , dub and play but for hands free Live application I believe the optional footswitch makes the most sense for this and the Harmony feature .
The Amp Type rotary selector provides A-guitar , normal , bright , wide , instrument , clean , crunch , lead , acoustic simulator and microphone selection . Depending on your tone tastes this is a bevy of choices but personally I prefer the clean or normal selections for guitar and then add in the appropriate amount of effects and the chorus on the Street II is lush and warm .
Another great option on this Boss amp is the Output power selector . If you ’ re plugged into a wall outlet or have brand new batteries installed slide it to the Max , if you are outside or in a practice room at the church flip it down to Eco and save your battery power !
