Just Be Kim Walker-Smith may have the most powerful voice in the entire genre of Christian Music. As one of the regular worship leaders for Jesus Culture, her songs are sung around the world but as a solo artist, Walker-Smith surprisingly has only released four albums since 2008. Her latest solo offering, Wild Heart is the first in nearly four years and was recorded at Bethel Church in Redding earlier this year before the Coronavirus shut down the world. The album features twelve songs with a majority of them being mid-tempo ballads. Walker-Smith’s vocals do not disappoint throughout as she touches on themes of God’s faithfulness, forgiveness and new life in Christ “Stones” finds its scriptural foundation in Luke 19:40 and the out-of-the-box chord progressions and tremelo’d guitars give the verses a haunting tone that sets up the declarative chorus well reminding us that if we don’t cry out the praises of Jesus, the stones will. “Just Be” is a stripped-down ballad that expresses Walker-Smith's desire to sit at the feet of Jesus without expectation. The title track is a rhythmically powerful song reminding us that God never stops seeking out his children. The melody is infectious and the guitar work on this track is outstanding. This song is the heartbeat (no pun intended) of the entire album as Walker-Smith outlines in great detail the tireless pursuit that God has for humanity to return to Him. Other than the monotony that tends to creep in toward the end of the album from some similar sounding ballads, Wild Heart has some really spectacular worshipful moments and is full of songs that your congregation should be singing whether in person or virtually. Kim Walker-Smith is a vocal giant and this is an album you should definitely add to your collection. 1. Good and Loved (Feat. Stephanie Gretzinger) 2. Good and Loved (Live version) 3. Thank You For Being God Two-time Grammy nominated Worship Pastor, Travis Greene is no stranger to God’s incredible love and mercy having been pronounced dead twice in his life. Once as a new born and once again after a four-story fall from a building at the tender age of four. He has also experienced heartache after his father died when he was just five years old. Yet through it all the Pastor of Forward City Church in South Carolina has never wavered from the promises of God and his call to bless people with his hope-filled songs of praise and worship. His sixth album Love Playlist is a seven-song collection of previously released tracks focused on the incredible love of Jesus.
