continually, rejoice always, give thanks, for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus. He said, “When you do those things, when you take care of doing His will that’s been made plain, then you get to do what you want.” And my husband was like, “What do you mean I get to do what I want? That sounds wrong and selfish.” He said, “No, because then your work to do will line up with who He’s created and called you to be because you are taking care of what He has already told you to do. Then, all of a sudden, the passions that you have will come from Him because you’re in step with Him.” The drive that I have, well that’s from Him because I’m in step with Him. And that’s something that my husband has clung to all of these years and its something that really helped me back in the early stages. I’m going to take care of what has been made plain to me, and then I get to do what I want because my want-to will line up with who He is. [WM] Just this past May, you and your husband Bernie hosted a virtual concert from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Over 500,000 folks streamed the free event, which also raised over $150,000 in donations for Hope for Justice, the anti-modern slavery cause that you co-founded. It was a free and benefit concert on Facebook. Danny Gokey also joined you and Bernie for the final number, which was a magnificent performance of “The Prayer”. Please tell us about this night, the non-profit, and some of the fallout, both good and some surprisingly malicious, from that night? The Prayer [Natalie] Right, I feel like that is the understatement of the century actually. An unprecedented time that, in my lifetime, I’ve never lived through. We’ve got three daughters, and I tell my daughters all the time to just try and sit in this moment and make notes in your mind and your hearts, because your children and their children are going to ask you about 2020, they’re going to study it in their books. This is a moment in history. When quarantine first started for us back in March, my kid’s last day was March 6 th and they never went back (laughs) and all of a sudden I became a home school mom and all of these things that so many people now relate to. But when quarantine started for us, one of the first things my husband and I did, I remember it was the second night in quarantine and we thought, why don’t we just record a song?
