I did give the system to my son to have him lead
worship with it and to get a second opinion.
Sam had the same experience that I had. He
disconnected his current wireless and put
the ProCo in its place. Sam texted me after
rehearsal last Sunday, “The IEM is great. Sound
is really good and it’s convenient that they
charge instead of using batteries. The small
profile works well for stage musicians.” To top
that off…he didn’t bring it back to me so that
he could use it for his recording project and the
next Sunday!
That being said, having the convenience of
small components that charge and have a fitted
gig-bag, this system is perfect for going from
stage to a recording session to home studio
and back. You don’t have to worry about buying
batteries and can even charge these in your car
if needed. The case keeps the system safe and
prevents misplacing one or both parts. I see
this ProCo system, with its sleek design, not as
a gimmick, but a game changer.
The ProCo W.I.E.M.S. lists for $399 with a
street price of $349.
into my shop and soldered the male end of a
broken microphone cable to a TRS 1/8” plug
because I did not have the right connection at
home. So, even with a janky cable, this system
was crystal clear. I’m running it right now as I
write and with no music, white noise on a scale
of 1-10 is about a 2. Basically, I can tell it’s on
and that’s it.
The system powered up and synced
automatically within a matter of 2-3 seconds.
The volume is balanced with no drops, pops, or
clicks. I walked down the hallway in my home
to test distance and it transmitted well even
through two walls before it started to break up.
