Leon finished those two songs, you could have
heard a pin drop, because the Holy Spirit was
at work. It doesn’t have to always be, “us and
them” does it?
[Chris] That’s incredible. I love that, because
that happened to me as well, in the middle of
recording this and making these songs Tyler
looked at me and said, “What if you came out
on tour with us and we had some praise in the
middle of our concert?” And I thought, are you
kidding me? I can’t imagine how that’s going to
go down, because they are the party band of
party bands when it comes to Country music.
That’s what’s so amazing about this record, it’s
Florida Georgia Line, they’re a party band. It’s
not who you think would be doing this. I said,
“You’re opening the door, why would I not do
that?” So, we did two nights, Atlanta and Las

of the most Country party crowd, the moment
just stops and we sang “How Great is our God”
and turned to our faith and talked about our
faith and said the things we have are because of
the goodness of God, and let’s praise God and
sing this song together. And the atmosphere
changed, it was so strong, it was so powerful.

When no one sees it coming it’s such a different
thing than when it’s expected, and this was just
so powerful.
[WM] Let’s talk about the record. I must say
the tracks are brilliant, with excellent and solid
performances by the musicians. Tell us about
Who You Are To Me
the song, “Who You Are to Me”. In reading the
songwriter credits, I love the true collaborative
nature of this project.
“Some people think You're distant, just some
words on a page
That You're nothing more than fables handed
down along the way
But I've seen You part the waters when no
one else could pull me from the deep
That's who You are to me
Some people think You just live in cathedrals
made of stone
But I know You live inside my heart, I know
that it's Your home
And I've seen You in a sunset and in the eyes
of a stranger on the street
That's who You are to me”
[Chris] This song is a special one, writing
with Lady A when this album started I thought,
they’re got to be involved. I’ve known Hillary
