people that are involved, it’ s very much all the music that comes out of Upper Room, I would say, is an expression in different seasons of our community. My life in music has expanded outside of just church things, though I still go to church there and it’ s still my community, and I love them. But yeah, that’ s a lot of people’ s reference points for what I’ ve done over the years is connected to the house of Upper Room. And so yeah, we just recorded... Well, I say just, it was a couple years ago now. We made an album called 1350. It was the last full-length project that Upper Room released. I actually don’ t remember when it released. I was pregnant when we recorded it, so it was twoish years ago, that we recorded it, but it was the last thing that we recorded in the building that we were in for about 10 years.
So there’ s just a ton of history, a ton of memories, and it felt like this really sweet closing of a chapter in a way.
We moved to a new building, so the church didn’ t dissolve, the music didn’ t stop, nothing like that, but we moved locations and it was a changing of the seasons in a lot of ways. The address was 1350 Manufacturing.
Yeah. So very industrial building. It’ s beautiful. I loved that building. I literally had a devotional set this morning. I do a one-hour devo on Wednesday mornings. We’ re not like twentyfour-seven prayer. We’ re morning, noon, and night. It’ s kind of the flow in our house. So basically, six in the morning till eight at night, Monday to Friday, there’ s live prayer and worship going on.
[ WM ] Well, are most of the songs sung composed by the worship team there or is it a mix?
[ Abbie ] It’ s a mix. It’ s different every time. Sometimes it’ s a compilation of writers within Upper Room that are writing for projects. Sometimes it’ s songs that have come from the prayer room and stewarded and turned into whole songs. What’ s released is connected to, but it’ s kind of its own thing the prayer room. We’ re doing all kinds of songs. We’ re doing live worship sets, so it’ s not always songs that we’ ve written. So, it’ s a bit of a mixture. The songs that came from the album on 1350 were songs that writers in Upper Room had been writing for the last couple years.
[ WM ] Okay. Well, Have You Ever Looked Around and Realized Everything You Ever Wanted is Rght in Front of Your Eyes? That’ s certainly the longest album title I’ ve ever heard! Tell us about it and I’ ll ask you about some of the individual songs next.
[ Abbie ] Yeah. So that title is, it’ s the bridge of a song called“ Everything You Ever Wanted” on the album. And when we were making
