What I like most about the Martin 00L-16E is that it has a sonic acoustic guitar signature that I don’ t currently have in my collection of predominantly dreadnaught shaped guitars. The 00L-16E would be an ideal singer songwriter guitar or for live performances and studio work. The body is a bit smaller so it is easier to navigate than some larger acoustic guitars and it has a very different sound with louder mids and trebles so it shouldn’ t compete with your voice either.
Priced at $ 2,499.99 for an American crafted instrument from Nazareth, Pennsylvania the Martin 00L-16E is priced competitively. The Blue Denim top finish is semi-transparent so you can still see the Spruce wood grain under the gloss finish. All the newly updated Martins in the 16 Series have new finishes and flair but of all of them the Martin 00L-16E is my favorite. If you have a local guitar shop near you that carries Martin instruments, I suggest you play and plug them in for yourself and see which new Martin 16 series strikes a chord with you.
