NEW MUSIC
ALEXANDER PAPPAS SUNDAY the way you expected. The title track captures that message especially well, redefining success not by accomplishments but by a life faithfully lived for God and others.
Songs like“ Time,”“ Walkin’ On Down,”“ Heavenly Father,” and“ The Day Is Coming” continue that theme with a mixture of reflection, hope, and confidence in God’ s character. Musically, Leonard blends acoustic textures, piano, gospel and Americana influences into a sound that is distinctly his own.
One of the strengths of Well Done is that it doesn’ t feel like six songs written simply to become Sunday-morning worship anthems. Instead, these are songs that accompany us in everyday faith— songs for the journey.
Well Done is hopeful without pretending life is easy and worshipful without feeling forced. It’ s a strong reminder that faithfulness matters: keep showing up, keep loving people, keep trusting God, and keep running the race.
Because ultimately, there may be no greater words to hear than“ Well done.”

Alexander Pappas’ new EP, SUNDAY, is a strong collection of modern worship songs built around a simple idea: worship was never meant to be limited to Sunday morning.
Pappas may be a newer name to some worship listeners, but his music has been part of the Church for years. Originally from Australia, he spent more than a decade with Hillsong Young & Free and helped write songs including“ Alive,”“ Wake,” and“ Real Love.” He also co-wrote Elevation Worship’ s“ Echo.” Now recording as a solo artist, Pappas brings that experience into a project focused squarely on serving the local church.
At the heart of the EP is Pappas’ desire to challenge the idea that worship is something we turn on when we enter church and turn off when we leave. Instead, SUNDAY encourages believers to carry a posture of worship into Monday morning, the workplace, their homes, and the ordinary moments of everyday life.
There is plenty here for worship leaders as well. The songs are energetic, accessible, and clearly written with congregational worship in
mind, while still sounding fresh and current. Pappas manages to bring some of the youthful energy associated with Young & Free into a more mature and distinctly personal worship sound.
A few of the standout tracks include;“ Everything With Breath” which is probably the biggest, most immediately congregational song on the project. It has that energetic Young & Free influence and was constructed around the Psalm 150 idea of everything that has breath praising God. On the more reflective side“ It Is So Sweet” connects the familiar trust of the classic hymn with a modern worship sound and centers on finding peace by walking with Jesus.
“ Always Been Jesus” is the most interesting song lyrically as Pappas traces the story of Scripture toward Jesus, giving it a little more theological depth than the typical modern worship anthem.
SUNDAY is ultimately a reminder that worship isn’ t an event on our weekly calendar. It is the response of a life that recognizes who God is and what He has done.
For worship leaders looking for something new to introduce to their teams and congregations, Alexander Pappas and SUNDAY are definitely worth a listen.
