main thing is still the main thing.” And so, I think even for tired people, people that have been just run down by whatever, by life, by ministry, by work, by family, that they would almost get a shot in the arm of like,“ Oh, God sees me, he understands me, he knows me.” And that would cause deeper connection to Jesus.
[ WM ] Yeah. And you’ ve got people coming into those worship events with just the crud of the world all over them. They’ ve been watching the news, and they’ re upset or their town has changed for the worse and they’ re bringing those things into a worship event. And so, it’ s the presence of God that can wash all of that away.
[ Abbie ] Absolutely. What’ s really cool is we’ re doing club shows. It’ s not even nights of worship. They’ re just shows. And we’ ve done this before. We’ ve done a couple runs like this for Pure, my last album. And it’ s so cool to see people that love Jesus. Christians come of course, but because it’ s in a neutral space, it’ s in these venues, some little theaters, some hole in the wall venues, it’ s just club shows. People wander in that are curious or people come with a friend or there’ s a safety of just a neutral space. It’ s been really cool to see all the different kinds of people that are affected in those spaces. So yeah, I’ m really excited. I find so much joy in singing these songs in a live setting. And I love doing runs like this because anyone can come. Maybe people that never would’ ve set foot in a church might come to a show and encounter Jesus.
[ WM ] I think I love what you’ re doing because you’ re going to places where maybe the nonevangelicals would not go. They might believe, but they don’ t sign up for the evangelical thing, but they might still be believers. We don’ t know. We don’ t write names down in the Book of Life. We don’ t even get to read them. That’ s up to the Lord. So to take that message and worship to them is a wonderful thing.
