we don’ t do. It’ s about what’ s already been done.” And that is the gospel. It’ s not what we do. It’ s not what we don’ t do. It’ s what’ s already been done.
That is the message of this song. Jesus says He’ s already done it. He did what I could not do when there was no way, He made a way.
And that is salvation. There is no way to God except through Jesus. And just coming back to that simplicity, you mentioned Billy Graham, you mentioned the greats, the simplicity of the message. It should never be too complicated, and it never gets old. Just that simple statement.
[ WM ] That’ s exactly right. Well, your song,“ How Good it Is,” is a happy and joyful call to the church to celebrate. In the story of the Prodigal Son, the scripture says that the prodigal came to his senses, meaning that our meanderings away from the Lord are almost like we temporarily lose our minds for a bit. But“ He deserves it all,” as your song says. Tell us about“ How Good it Is,” and also the song,“ Doesn’ t He.”
that. And then there’ s“ Doesn’ t He?” which is the first song that was written for this record. When I think of all the songs that I wrote that are on this album, the first one that was written was this song“ Doesn’ t He?” And that was almost three years ago now. And I love the bridge. I just want to point out, I’ ll just call out the bridge of this song.“ Can you imagine the Sound of Heaven? All the praise. He is worthy of every tribe, every nation to the Holy One.” I’ ve said it each night at my concerts and it’ s true, but I’ m trying to help people grab that picture again. Can you imagine the sound of heaven? Can you imagine the sound of every tribe, nation, language, color of skin, everyone who’ s ever put their faith in Jesus, all around the throne, singing to the only one who deserves all the praise and worship and the one who’ s worthy of all praise. That’ s the essence of the song“ Doesn’ t He?”
[ WM ] Wow. It’ s just wonderful. On a lighter note, Bruce( Adolph) says,“ Hi”!

[ Chris ] Yeah, they’ re back-to-back on the record, as you mentioned, and for a reason.“ How Good It Is” opens the album. It’ s the opening track of the record and this call to celebration, call to praise. And it is filled with the Psalms. Psalm 92 says,“ How good it is to sing praise of the most High.” Psalm 113 says,“ From the rising of the sun to the setting, the name of the Lord shall be praised.” And Psalm 98, Psalm 100. So many of the Psalms are just kind of intertwined together in this song. The Psalms do many things, and one of the things that they do and do so well is there’ s just the encouragement of calling us to praise or these calls to worship. David, encouraging us, said,“ Bring your praise to God. Shout to the Lord. Enter his gates with thanksgiving. Clap your hands, all your nations,” are all beautiful passages. And so that’ s what this is. It’ s the opening call to worship. How good it is. Enter his gates. That’ s kind of the way the album should have started for me. So as simple as
