longest I’ ve ever gone without making a record. So, I’ ve gotten to spend a lot of time on it, put a lot of heart into it. And there’ s so many pieces throughout this album that are telling that story of these two crowns.
[ WM ] I love it. I love that story!“ Still the King” asks the questions,“ Isn’ t He worthy?” And“ How Could my Heart Not Sing Hallelujah”. And then the lyric says,“ the blood is still the blood and the king is still the king.” As a former resident of Texas, I love singing“ Bob Wills is Still the King” just as much as the next guy. But believe me, I’ d much rather sing“ The King is still the King”. Tell us about this song. shame, the symbol of humility, the symbol of humility of death. And he took on that crown. And yet today he wears the crown of the King of Kings in Revelation 19, I just want to remind everybody of that truth. Revelation 19 is epic. Even in the album cover, if you look really closely at the back of the crown, it says Revelation 19, it says,“ When He comes again, He’ ll be riding a white horse riding and He’ ll be wearing a robe dipped in blood and a crown of thorns. He’ ll be writing a robe dipped in blood. And on that robe, it says it’ ll be followed by the saints, which I love. How powerful. A beautiful picture followed by the saints. It says, and on that robe will be written this … King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. And I think about that reality of the everlasting King. And so those two lines summed up the whole record to me.
[ Chris ]( laughs) Yes, this is the crown. This is the reason for these crowns. The blood is still the blood, and the king is still the king. When Jesus was on this earth, he wore a crown.
