I’ m overwhelmed by the opportunity. It’ s more than a facility— it’ s a testimony.
[ WM ] Looking ahead, what role do you hope Studio33:3 plays for the church and the broader worship community? [ Drew ] We officially opened on November 1, 2024— Sarah’ s birthday. That made it incredibly meaningful for everyone here at the Church.
In its first year, Studio33:3 has become a hub for broadcasting, songwriting, and production. Every Sunday, church services are mixed live from the space, while songwriters regularly use its keyboard station to jump straight into demoing ideas. It has also hosted major projects, including the Good Friday production, which was mixed entirely in Atmos before being downmixed for the worship center’ s surround system.
Going forward, we’ re opening it up to churches and Christian artists who want to record at the highest quality. Whether it’ s a full studio album, a videoed worship set, or a live recording from our worship center, the possibilities are wide open.
[ WM ] Do you see Studio33:3 evolving into a label or production company?
[ Drew ] Not immediately, but we’ ve talked about it. For now, we’ re focused on serving artists and churches. Down the road, yes, it could grow into something more formal.
[ WM ] What about secular projects— voiceovers, commercial clients, etc.?
[ Drew ] We’ ve had conversations, but our focus is really on Christian-related content. The studio is under the umbrella of the church, so we’ re clear about that.
[ WM ] Could touring Christian artists use the facility?
[ Drew ] Definitely. We already host concerts each year, and Studio33:3 could serve touring artists in multiple ways, acoustic sessions, demos, or even full splits from our worship center into the studio.
[ WM ] Could artists work here for an extended time?
[ Drew ] Yes. Gavin was intentional about designing the lounge for comfort— bathroom, kitchenette, and space to relax. Artists could work here for weeks and not feel cramped.
[ WM ] I hear the studio is already receiving recognition.
[ Drew ] Yes, Studio33:3 was recently named a finalist for a TEC Award in studio design at this upcoming NAMM Convention. That was a huge honor for us, and I think it reflects not only the technical excellence, but the heart behind it.
[ WM ] Concluding thoughts?
[ Drew ] Sarah said it best: the story goes on. Her life continues to inspire this space and the generations who will come through it. Our prayer is simple: that Studio33:3 will be a place where God raises up worshippers who play skillfully, sing new songs, and lift us his name with joy.
[ WM ] Thanks so much for your time, Pastor Drew— I’ m really excited to see how Studio33:3 continues to grow and impact the community!
