Like its predecessor the Fender Mustang Micro Plus has an attached rotating ¼ ” input jack to fit any style of instrument jack . The large volume knob in the center of the Plus makes setting levels easy too . The Plus provides 4 hours of play time on a full charge and includes the USB cable for charging . You can also record your playing via the same USB and Fender has included six months of Studio One . The music community will be pleased to know that you can also share the presets you create with other Micro Plus players and download the ones that they create that you want .
Besides the expanded effects and amp models my favorite feature is the Bluetooth Connectivity ( works with Android & iOS devices ) allowing you to jam to your favorite songs , your original music , jam tracks or practicing Praise Team songs .
I tested out the Fender Mustang Micro Plus with a Ciari Ascender electric guitar with a single P90 and PreSonus HD7 open back headphones . What surprised me most was how many great presets Fender had loaded into the Plus . Some of my favorites included 70 ’ s Rock , 80 ’ s Rock , Stadium Lead and of course Sugar Tweed . But there are many tasty presets loaded into the Micro Plus and plenty of room to create your own also .
Priced at just $ 129.99 the Fender Mustang Micro Plus is a perfect practice tool but could also work great for recording tracks . Playing against jam tracks off of YouTube and trying different sound combinations made me want to play for hours .
The sound quality is great and if anyone should be able to nail the Fender amp sounds , it should be Fender . The Fender Mustang Micro Plus allows us to play and practice anywhere and anytime we want without bothering people around us . This is a homerun portable pocketsized amp and effects unit that everyone should have in their arsenal and at the cost of one effects pedal . My only recommendation is to consider the optional $ 19.99 Fender Micro case to protect your investment .
