of the body and the headstock is very tasteful also . Early models of the RainSong guitars had the N1 neck only which did not have a truss rod in the neck since there was no need . The only challenge is that if you wanted more or less relief in your neck it couldn ’ t be achieved . Therefore , RainSong developed the N2 neck that does have a truss rod encapsulated in the Carbon Fiber neck . Now in the Concert series line you can choose which neck you prefer . The N1 is obviously slimmer but you also forfeit the option to adjust the neck profile to your taste . The company has done an excellent job of rounding the body contours on the back of this guitar too . Playing while seated or standing the rounded edges are much more forgiving against your body .
WS Concert 12-fret , OM Concert ( most popular model ), and the DR Concert . Currently RainSong offers a total of five body shape choices on their website and several neck options to choose from also .
Having owned multiple RainSong guitars through the years and currently owning the WS Concert 12-fret model , these are instruments that sound great but are also dependable no matter what the weather conditions or temperatures might be . If you are a traditionalist that can only purchase or play wooden guitars , then the RainSong hybrids might be an option ? But , if you are a praise team leader or worship musician that find themselves in
outdoor or traveling situations where a wood constructed guitar is unreliable , this may be the ticket . However , RainSong ’ s aren ’ t just for the great outdoors or throwing confidently into the check-in baggage when traveling . They play and sound great in all situations . And the current Updated RainSong Concert series Acoustic / Electric guitar has never played or sounded better than now and at a lower price point .
Spend more time playing and less time worrying about protecting your guitar .

To fully test drive the RainSong CO-WS1000N2 I played the instrument several weekends with my church Praise Team . The LR Baggs Stagepro electronics were easy to dial in to the mix and the built-in tuner works great . The controls on the Stagepro Element are straight forward with the volume on the left , built-in tuner , phase switch , 3-band EQ , and battery removal from the top ! With other guitars on stage , I pulled back the bass frequency and brought up the mids and treble some to achieve more jangle .
Thanks to the stability of the Carbon Fiber and the RainSong machine heads I tuned it once and didn ’ t need to retune for the entire service . It took capos well also . The N2 neck is a modified U and a bit fuller so if you have smaller hands , I recommend trying out the N1 neck configuration .
The RainSong Concert CO-WS1000N2 as tested sells for $ 2,499 which is a $ 500 price drop since they are now selling the instruments direct online . It also includes a well-constructed and padded RaingSong hardshell case which has the nice company nameplate on the side near the carrying handle .
Other models in the Concert series include : OM Concert 12-fret , PA Concert , JM Concert 12-string , JM Concert , JM Concert Baritone ,
