does a great ‘ swampy Drop D ’. If on the other hand you like Strat with Tele clothing with the ability to morph into Les Paul style tones , the Myles has got you covered . I ’ ll add that the tone control function was developed so Myles could do with one instrument what he needed a number of other guitars to do .
There were a couple of things I opted to frame in the ‘ Paul knows best ’ category . The ‘ MK ’ features locking tuners , where the NF 53 does not . At first , I was a bit miffed , but after
I changed strings on the NF 53 I found the vintage style tuners made for nearly as fast a string change as the locking tuners on the MK , and they held their pitch just fine . As far as the dual brass saddles , they must have contributed to the tone and sustain in a way that mattered more the individually adjustable single saddles . I didn ’ t notice any intonation issues , and since they ’ re on both guitars , there must have been a good reason for it !
Admittedly , this was a bit of a different review since the videos PRS did were so good . If you haven ’ t already watched them , I ’ d encourage you to do so . I did my best to share the important bullets as well as my thoughts on things that weren ’ t covered in the videos .
