incredible opportunity for musicians to unite in praise . Utilizing MultiTracks , advanced AVL and high-level gear is an excellent way for us to be worthy stewards of worship — but none of this should ever become the focus of WHY we gather to praise . Jesus is the reason we praise , full stop .
Now that we have that in order , we can cover the second most important question you need to ask yourself . Who ’ s on your team ? Elijah was overwhelmed and robbed of peace because he saw the task ahead of him and believed he was alone . If you ’ re showing up to Sundays filled with worry and leaving without encountering the peace that God offers through worship , it ’ s because you have forgotten God ’ s very purpose for your life : to build a Church here on earth that resembles heaven . We do this by building relationships and catalyzing those around us to serve God alongside us . The Lord was not in the fire , the Lord was not in the wind and earthquake ; The Lord was in the gentle whisper reminding Elijah there were 7,000 faithful Israelites waiting for him .

There are people on your worship team and in your congregation who would love to serve and make your load lighter : all you need to do is look around . Trust me , they are there . As a worship leader , you should work to the point where you only have three tasks : love the Lord , love and lead the members of your ministry , and show up every Sunday prepared to praise . If you ’ re getting caught up in all of the technical details , and it ’ s robbing you of peace during Worship , it ’ s because you have yet to catalyze those around to cover all the little tasks that make up a well-produced service . High-level

If you ’ d like to learn more about how to catalyze the members of your team and build your production , you can read last month ’ s article in Worship Musician magazine ( Shout out to the September issue !)
PART 2 : PRODUCTION PROVIDES STRUCTURE , AND STRUCTURE PROVIDES THE SPACE TO BE FLEXIBLE
Okay , so we ’ ve put Jesus in the center and we ’ re building our teams . Great job ! The next question you may ask yourself is : with all this production , are we losing the focus and flexibility we need in order to encounter peace during worship ? This is a really good question we have to ask ourselves , and I believe the answer is found in the scriptures . In the book of Exodus , the Lord blesses his people with instructions on how to build the Tabernacle . In 1 Chronicles , David is given the blueprint on
