INTRODUCING THE LAMBER ’ TRON BY LAMBERTONES PICKUPS | HW
If you have spent anytime in worship guitar related forums , FaceBook groups or have wandered through YouTube content on the subject … you have undoubtedly run into Lambertones , a boutique pickup company now out of California .
Known for their clarity and top-end definition , Lambertones makes pick-ups favored by worship guitar players across the globe and boasts one of the most passionate and committed fan bases on the internet . In fact , It is not uncommon to find players who own multiple handcrafted boutique instruments equipped entirely with Lambertones pickups , like the Cremas , Ristrettos , Triple Shots , Blondies etc . There just seems something about the voice , the air , the clarity Kurtis Lamberton is able to place in these pickups that stands unique in a crowded field of “ vintage inspired ” products and with their newest release Lambertones aims to bring something unique to Filter ’ tron equipped guitars .

A Kemper Profiler sat in the corner with stereo cabinets loaded up with a profile of a vintage Fender Deluxe Reverb and on the couch a champagne gold Gretsch Sparkle Jet with Bigsby and tiny little “ L ” s etched into the filtertron style pickups .
Now I ’ m not the biggest filtertron fan but I was excited to try these because I like several other Lambertones models … my problem with traditional filtertrons is the imbalance . I have owned several Sparkle Jets and La Cabronitas but they all have the same problem , the bridge pickup is just too thin sounding compared to the neck .
So , I plugged in and immediately flipped the selector up to the neck , the sound was fat and clear , plenty of chime and a healthy dose of warmth as you might expect from a good neck pickup . But what happened next surprised me and put a HUGE smile on my face . I flipped the pickup selector down and slapped an open G
