Unlike typical algorithmic reverbs that simulate reflections, Verbera uses a patented lowlatency convolution engine to reproduce the true acoustic fingerprint of real rooms and classic reverb gear. Each impulse response( IR) records the exact way sound behaves in a specific space, whether a cathedral, concert hall, or vintage plate. The result is highly realistic natural ambience that instantly transports your tone into authentic environments.
Alongside its convolution core, Hotone adds a second engine— XR( Extra Reverb)— that brings creative flexibility. XR can enhance, smooth, or completely transform an IR into lush, cinematic depth. The marriage of the two engines delivers what Hotone calls a“ 1 + 1 > 2” effect. In practice, this means Hotone’ s Verbera uses two reverb systems working together: the convolution core gives you the realistic sound of an actual space, while the XR engine adds creative control to shape or expand that sound into something more atmospheric or cinematic.
