As worship leaders and church musicians , songs during worship need to become turning points , connecting us to our Creator , strengthening us , and revealing truth .
The notion of worship team leaders downloading lead sheets nationwide on Saturday night for a Sunday morning setlist is cringeworthy . Song lyrics that are God-breathed are incredibly powerful . Inspired songs have a job to do , and their thoughtful selection is one of the key roles of a worship leader . Song selection for worship is not only a craft , but a sacred responsibility . God be with each , and every worship leader and team member reading this .
