CAPO GUITAR
BETHEL MUSIC ’ S “ REASON TO PRAISE ” | Mitch Bohannon
Overwhelmed . Breaking down . Frustrated . Giving up . Things many of us and the people we lead could be feeling this coming Sunday . This new song from Bethel Music has really ministered to me personally over the last month . I was first drawn to it simply because of the cool groove and then was hit with the message of the lyrics . Whatever I ’ m feeling , I ’ ve still got a reason to praise !
There ’ s just something to that 6 / 8 swing that causes people to move , to sway , to feel , to sing . I would capitalize on that feeling with dynamics that build out of the verses and into the chorus and up to the bridge .
The open voicing of the cut capo keeps the sound big and full whether you are playing by yourself or with a band and the fingerings are super simple . If the A7sus shape is difficult , it ’ s an easy chord to just skip in the progression . Check out the video to get some ideas with strumming and dynamic techniques .
