When I use the Rose live as a Delay , I like using the EXT Switch as a Tap tempo , and it can be set to 1 / 4 note , 1 / 8 note , Dotted 8 , or Triplet . I use the Hotswitch to go from A to B settings . I can put one as an average delay and the other for swells or ambient stuff .
MY TAKE AWAY : First of all , the pedal looks fantastic on any pedalboard . My original thought was that the Rose would be a Memory Man alternative , but this pedal goes way beyond . Don ’ t sleep on this pedal ! The sound of the delay is so lush , it ’ s like pro rackmount hardware . I ' m instantly reminded of a Lexicon PCM 42 . It ' s 100 % studio-grade quality in a pedal in the same fashion as the H-9 . It ' s a power hog needing 500mA , so it ' s nice that a power supply is included . For crafting sounds in the studio it ' s a beautiful find . You can use it as a fantastic delay or go towards the modulation features and get beautiful lush flanging and chorusing . Finally , you can mess with the Delta button and get some great sweeps for modern-retro inspiration . If you like ambient sounds , then you came to the right place . With the reverse delays , five modulation algorithms , and endless repeats , creativity , and inspiration are just a controller pedal away . Rose is a combination of ambient heaven , and tweaker ' s dream come true in one pedal . I ' m very inspired by Rose and think you will be too .
