CHANGING UP THE BATTING ORDER
I am on a mission to get a clearer picture of how you – our beloved readers – view / access our Worship Musician magazine. When the publication hits your email in-box many of you take the time to read my Sound Check piece first and for that I am grateful.
Next is where it gets interesting. You can either click on the section of the magazine where your interests’ levels are high or keep scrolling right into our cover story. If you are a sound person you may go straight to [ CTR ] Church Tech + Recording. If you are a bass player then it is [ WDBK ] Worship Drums, Bass + Keys. If you are a worship leader( either adult, youth or kid’ s) then [ VTL ] Vocals, Teams + Leaders. A large group of you keep rolling right into the main feature, which in this issue is Brooke
Ligertwood. You can’ t go wrong there. And then you continue reading straight through the five sections.
What I’ ve found out more recently( although I have always had a hunch) is that whether you are leading worship stage center or are supporting the worship music playing in the band – our readership is full of guitar players. Both acoustic and electric.
With this guitar population in mind and seeing how many of you move around inside the magazine itself, I am going to switch up the batting order in this issue. We will start with Brooke in the [ ASR ] Artist, Song + Repertoire section, then flow into [ WGP ] Worship Guitar Player. Next will come the teams centric [ VTL ], then our audio folks in [ CTR ] and finally [ WDBK ]. Hey, I am not picking on the rhythm section placing it at the end. I play bass at my church. I am just asking them to wrap up the issue with a solid four-on-the-floor.
Our formula for this training publication is a simple one, but to me it works the best to help you and your team get # BetterBySunday … Good Content + Good Photography = Good Magazine. And that is worth going to bat for …
