Paul Baloche has been serving the global church with deeply singable, theologically rich songs since the early’ 90s. With classics like“ Open the Eyes of My Heart,”“ Hosanna( Praise Is Rising),” and“ Your Name,” his heart for the local church has never been in question. Yes, We Believe— his first full-length studio release in over six years— is a welcome return from one of modern worship’ s most trusted voices.
The album opens strong with“ Magnify( Just for a Moment),” a driving, guitar-led call to lay aside distractions and fix our attention on Jesus. It’ s a solid, accessible opener that many churches will easily adopt.
The standout track is the title song,“ Yes, We Believe.” Functioning as a modern-day creed, it asks bold questions about the core of our faith
and answers with a confident declaration. It feels like classic Baloche— anthemic, clear, and rooted in truth— and fits right alongside songs like“ Our God Saves” and“ The Same Love.”
More reflective moments like“ Stand in Awe”( featuring Matthew Harris) and“ Crowned in Victory” provide space for quieter worship, drawing on themes of redemption and the victory of Christ. The inclusion of familiar songs like“ Behold Him,”“ Hosanna( Praise Is Rising),” and a refreshed take on“ As the Deer” adds a nice multi-generational touch.
If there’ s a critique, it’ s that the back half leans a bit too heavily into similar tempos and textures. A couple more upbeat originals, or another female led vocal could have added some needed variety.
That said, Baloche remains one of the most consistent and humble contributors to modern worship music. The church is better when he releases new songs and Yes, We Believe is another solid addition to his legacy.

Grand Canyon University’ s Canyon Worship X
is a vibrant and heartfelt addition to the evergrowing
catalog of modern congregational
worship. Representing the sound of Grand
Canyon
University’ s
student-led
worship
collective, this album captures the passion,
energy, and spiritual hunger of a younger
generation while still maintaining a strong sense
of accessibility for the local church.
From the opening moments, Canyon Worship
X leans into a polished, contemporary worship
style— blending
ambient
textures,
driving
rhythms, and anthemic choruses that feel
tailor-made for both large gatherings and
weekly services. I was pleasantly surprised
how professional the writing and delivery was
on this album for such a young group of artists.
