DI box that just has unbalanced inputs, both Highlines can accept balanced signals as well. So if you’ ve got a TRS output from your amp sim you can keep the signal path balanced all the way to the PA.
Both Highline models feature a ground lift switch, designed to help to break up unwanted signal noise from your signal path, while the transformer( s) inside will also isolate your pedal board and also reduce the chance of running into ground loop noise. The mono version of the Highline also has a sum switch, so you can repurpose the Thru output as a second input – it will use resistive based summing to merge both channels down to mono at the XLR output. The through jack can of course, also be used as a through output, so you can take that to a local monitor on stage, or if you want to bypass your amp sim when practicing at home. can run your stereo Amp Sim to the front of house. There’ s also a ground lift switch and two summing switches that can do different functions depending on how your setup needs change. For example, in a typical scenario you’ d expect to be sending stereo inputs into the Highline Stereo, but there may be times when you go to a gig and soundman tells you there are not enough channels for you. In that case, you don’ t have to reconfigure anything on your pedalboard. All you have to do is hit the XLR sum switch and that will sum both the left and right signals to mono at both XLR outputs so you can take just one of them and send it to front of house without having to reconfigure anything else on your pedal board.
There’ s also a second sum switch on the Highline stereo that will sum your Thru outputs together. This is useful where you’ re feeding stereo to the front of house, but you also want to monitor with one clean amp on stage or one personal monitor. In that case, if you hit the Thru sum switch on the stereo Highline, it’ s going to sum your left and right input channels to both of the through outputs, which means you’ ve got a mono feed at either jack, so that you can take either of them out into a single monitor and be able to hear your full signal on stage locally.

Because of its transformer inside the Highline, you’ re going to have full isolation to your pedal board and amp sim pedal. As a result, if you were to accidentally engage 48V phantom power from the console, it’ s going to be blocked by Highline so it won’ t be able to get through to your amp sim pedal, or anything else on your pedal board that could potentially be damaged.
As for the Highline Stereo, this model is a two channel device and is based on the same feature set as the Highline. The Highline Stereo is a little bit bigger than the Highline- It’ s the same size as most of Radial’ s other DI boxes, but it’ s still compact and pedal board friendly. Highline Stereo is based on the same idea as the Highline, where you’ ve got a 1-to-1 transformer, however now you’ ve got two of the Jensen transformers inside the unit. Highline Stereo is going to give you all the same benefits as the Highline, where you’ ve got the Jensen transformers, you’ re protecting your gear by blocking straight phantom power from coming back through, you’ re isolating it so you’ re removing ground loop noise.
Highline Stereo has two inputs and two Thru outputs, along with dual XLR outputs so you
