THINKING GLOBALLY
This May issue of [ WM ] Worship Musician is a bit of a milestone for us . We have tri-lingual Worship artist Christine D ’ Clario ( Spanish , English and Portuguese ) not only as our cover story of this issue but also the cover story for Issue # 2 of [ MA ] Musicos Adoradores – our all Spanish language sister publication . [ MA ] is a mixture of articles translated into Spanish from [ WM ] and also has features written just for our Spanish readers .
It is good to see that many of the popular English speaking / singing artists are putting the time and energy into releasing their music in Spanish now , to reach into the Latin worship community . And conversely , many of the Spanish artists are reaching out to and
recording music ( in either Spanish or English ) with the English-speaking artists . There is a good bit of collaboration going on as you will see in this very issue .
Collaboration is a good thing , as we may live in various places and countries , but we are a global church . We need to see farther than the four walls of our own home church and try to view things in the global body of Christ . Often times some of the global church is going through a lot more travail than our own local church is . We need keep in mind that it is good to rejoice with those who are rejoicing … but to weep with those who are weeping as well .
On that glorious day Jesus will be coming back for His bride . That bride will be made up of Christian believer ’ s all across the world . From the largest to the smallest of countries . From the dense cities to the sparse countrysides . We are all encouraged to look up , for our redemption draweth nigh !
Let us consider others more than ourselves and cry out to the Lord to help all of our sisters and brothers around the earth itself . I look forward to when the global church can all meet in the air together when Christ returns . ( 1 Thessalonians 4:17 ).
