[ Meredith ] Well , “ A Million Saints ” was actually from the live worship project that I did . It was just my very first live worship , and was from an EP with six songs . And the whole EP was called Faith and Wonder , and “ A Million Saints ” is the first track on that . I love this song . It was actually written I think with Phil in mind and originally it was still and Mia and Hank , but was unfinished . But they let me come in and tweak some things and I got together with Mia and Hank and we just finished it out . I loved it , it ' s kind of got this global viewpoint .
It ' s got this very million saints from every tribe and tongue , all of creation singing , holy , holy , holy feeling . It ' s the song of heaven , but we ' re all invited . We ' re all welcomed in and we ' re all joining in this song I think just the idea and the thought of millions of saints , millions of people who love Jesus , lifting their voices together , it ' s like , I can ' t wait for that moment ! But we get glimpses of it here now , even when we ' re gathered together corporately . We get to sing the song of heaven ! That was kind of what we were chasing after .
[ WM ] Let ’ s turn to your involvement with recording in Spanish , which you ’ ve been doing for quite some time . I must say your enunciation is impeccable ! Do you have a background in Hispanic culture or studies ? What is the heart and vision behind your recording in Spanish ? I ’ ll ask you next about your new Spanish release . recorded and when I was doing a Christmas album I just thought that I would love to actually record this song because I would love for it to find a home . I think what it says is really special , that the sound could be really amazing and so I ' m just grateful that my husband let me record his song .

[ WM ] During some of the worst days of the pandemic last year , you released “ A Million Saints ”, which you co-wrote with Phil Wickham . Mia Fieldes , and Hank Bentley . That chorus is anthemic ! What can you tell us about all of this ?
[ Meredith ] Yeah , so I didn ’ t grow up in the Hispanic culture at all , but when I was in junior high , I started taking Spanish classes and I loved it . It was something that I thrived in , unlike algebra . ( laughing ) I just had a knack for Spanish and I loved wanting to say things
